Finding the right shade and buying a foundation online is difficult; so YSL Beauty created the Shade Discovery Kit, an intermediary product offering that allowed customers to try up to 3 shades before committing to a full bottle. We were tasked with producing the full user experience, from initial onboarding through purchase and ultimately repeat purchase. The goal was to showcase YSL’s breadth of shades while creating a seamless UX sprinkled with useful tools and education so customers can easily compare shades and accurately find what suits them.
